So far, we lost 3 ASM's today here in Florida. I'm DM, but still in shock. I was expecting one to be gone, but three?! Very very sad day today. Good luck to all.

My husband has worked at Lowes for 30 years. He has worked every position, including audit. After Lowes "revamped " audit, he became an ASM. For 30 years he has devoted himself to the company, busting his a** and was told today he doesn't fit the plan for where the company is headed. Really?? Is it actually because of his pay, age, and years invested? However, a new ASM in the job 6 months was kept. They say the SM and HR took a survey and it was turned over to a computer system who recommended who should stay. My husband was told that his rating wasn't high enough. Get real! He runs that store and holds people accountable for their jobs. Hard work and perseverance did not pay off this time.

Asms had an 11am meeting today. We lost 4. The department managers have their meeting next. There will be no staff in the store tomorrow.

Our store lost one today...we started with 4. The higher volume store down the road lost 3...they had 6.

No matter what happens people are losing their jobs. I don't care if it's ASM's or DM.. It's horrible and Lowe's is killing themselves with these moves. They cut SPIFF's off to get experienced people to move up. Well now you remove upper management who would be nuts to get promoted??
