Anybody hear when the next RIF's are going to be? 38 yrs, I'm done. It would be nice to get some severance, instead of just retiring.

I ridhvyhru would keep having them every quarter. Folks could get a severance and get on with life.
The problem us they pick and choose.
Anyone that drives over 50 miles to get to the office should be offered a severance.
I agree. If you are 38 years old, get yourself out of here! You have a whole career ahead of you. If, on the other hand, you have been here 38 years, why not just retire and still get out of here? Because if the latter is true and you are waiting/hoping for a RIF/severance package I am afraid they are never going to choose you. They are, instead, going to force you out by changing once again the pension. That way, they pay no severance- of course you won't be able to draw unemployment or have any time frame of health care either. But Honeywell does not care about that. They only want us gone, and in the cheapest way they can get away with. To take their longest career Honeywell employees and do this to them is shameful. But it wont be the first or the last time.
So if you are younger- I would leap off this ship as fast as you can.
No further rifs on immediate horizon. Might have missed your chance. Take a job in manufacturing and ride the sell off might be a good strategy.

If 38 years young you have a full life ahead of you . . . do not let this life s---ing company strip you of your desire to work for a company that appreciates your efforts and contributions. If 38 years bail with this prick company (R U kidding ME) . . . if NOT BAIL . . . Life is TOO short!!!
