Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Our store was going to loose one zone manager however one decided to leave recently. We have 17 department managers in our store. We were told today in a meeting that 7 department managers would be put into these new positions but would have to interview for said job. The remaining department managers have one year from January 28 2017 until January 28 2018 and then they are terminated. Lowes lost over 500 million dollars in the Australian fiasco that flopped and the last 2 quarters did not meet Wall Steets expectations. This system was tried in the Chicago area and supposedly did well. It seems Lowes is following other retailers that have implemented this same strategy.

Apparently about 90 people are being laid off from the Mooresville location. 12 VPs.

Mental Health care workers are going to Have some job security....so will pill manufacturers to help these poor employees...while top echelon are cozy

Betrayal and lost trust...I have been here 15 years and it is cold and getting to be cutthroat mentality for stock price and sales.

Should be about doing the right thing and helping and taking care of one another looking out for our protection our families and children. Not what is happening....this is just cold and very mean.

No one knows what to think or expect. Several VP's called into separate meetings and walked out this morning...cant even return to their desk to collect personal belongings.

Severe Anxiety Dis belief and pannic....we all asked for days what the plans are and told no oneknows anything....then forus to be litterally kicked out like criminals....and separated like this is just sad.
