I did get popped as well as our manager for a total of 6 out of 14.
It appears they don't want Sparc servers and or storage in the cloud ? X86 only ?

I'd also like to add that these people that were laid off were Talented Experienced Creative Engineers with a passion for engineering and teamwork. From what I've seen and how this was done it was like a freakin coin toss to see who goes and who stays.
It was, for lack of a better word, a cluster f---.
Hardware Sustaining,, Software Sustaining, Development, Program Management, Solaris, it was I'm pretty sure all Sparc groups not sure how many were engineers but most were, in our group of 14 we lost our manager , 4 engineers and 3 technicians, people with up to 30 years at Sun / Oracle.

To the 450 in SCA from yesterday, add another 260 - 280, also in SCA, who were quietly RIF'ed between June and December last year.

There were 8 "set free" out of 15 in my group in Burlington. I heard of 17 of 57 in another group in a second building. I know of others in other groups, but I don't have head counts.....seems as though most SPARC related groups (HW, FW and SW) were affected to some extent. WARN was not triggered in Burlington, nor San Diego......but was in SCA.
