Intel Job offer grade 7 expectation

I am expecting an offer from Intel soon (Portland, OR). I have an MS with 5 years experience. Not entirely sure how Intel salary/pay grade correlates but was told I should land at Grade 7.

I'd really appreciate it if you guys can give me some sort of ranges in term of what I should be expecting from Intel Offer. It'd also really help when I negotiate with them later

1) Base Salary?

2) joining bonus?

3) RSU?

Thanks!

I had a bs electronic engineering.offered a 10k signing bonus plus relocation assistance if i came in at a 56.what a mistake.although i received a4k and a 2k bonus.Im really disappointed at my pay after year 3 .had 6 mgrs in that time no cohesion.fellow engineers being forced out at 6 year .I left and worked at Orbital launch systems .Thrilled and compensated.Unless you sell yourself short .Now is great time in US .Foreign Visas are down so no lowballing. You can get some great semiconductor experience .but those jobs are going oversees. With any job do your best and review if you are being compensated fairly and how much are you giving to be fair to your company.Intel has a lot of lazy employees after their 10 year

Hi,

Did you get an offer from Intel? Can you share the details? I'm also MS with 5 yrs of experience and I'm expecting an offer from Intel soon.

Can you please share the grade you received, base salary and what APB and quarterly bonus I can expect?

Also, did you negotiate the base and how much did it increase by? Thank you.

OP Here. Thanks @eky and @h1c for those numbers. It's good information that I can use to evaluate the offer when it comes in.

@dhk Exactly !!

OP - Why would you want to work at untrustworthy Intel knowing their horrid work culture and vicious people ???

My countdown continues.

Looks like months of January and February will easily 😊 😊 😁pass!!! Thanks to vacation travels.

Before we know it, very soon it will be time to resign ...

😊 😊 😁 Exciting year ahead!!! ...

I assure you, they are not going to bring you in at a grade 7. They'll try to bring you in as a grade 6 and you'll have to hold out until they up it to 7.

My son who hasn't even graduated from college is getting paid more as an intern in Bay Area than a PhD at intel in Hillsboro. One has to be phucking crazy or desperate to take a job at a company going down the $hitter.

@xgp, companies still pay well in Bay Area even with higher cost of living. Buddy of mine with a MS got a $170k SW engineer job (total comp; base, bonus, equity) at a well known company, and he's not even from a top tier school. That's higher than an Intel grade 7 for a lower experience job.

Intel? Seriously? You should negotiate a golden parachute layoff clause.

Go to Bay Area, much higher pay at companies there, although intel is decent in Portland. Can be 1-2 grade level difference for same job at Intel vs. Google, FB, Apple, etc.

Base in the 110-120k range. Signing bonus could be 1 mo pay if offered. Total bonus will be around 12k, consisting of APB target (starts at 2% of base) times around 3, plus quarterly bonus. RSU is 10-20k/yr depending on performance, and they may give you this amount in the offer as your starting equity (each grant vests over 4 years).

110-125k base, bonus 2-3K, maybe 500 RSUs a year.

You should look at Glassdoor!

Personally think you are crazy to join intel as that is a sinking ship
