Apple is suing QC because the product is not performing as expected and defined at the contract, that is the reason, no one at the company is able to bull shxt Apple anymore and come with a plan to explain all bugs and issues. Period.

Apple has been attacking QC from various sides. Makes me wonder if Apple truly will die without Steve Jobs.

I'm not familiar with the legal department, but I would expect their legal department is the best department in the company because the importance of licensing to the company. Since QC has been in the licensing business for a long time, I bet they have some pretty tight legal agreements and probably the best corporate lawyers in the industry. I can understand them bowing down to China, but I don't think they will bow down to Korea or Apple. QC should win these lawsuits. The federal lawsuit should just disappear soon.

Can it get any worse? Heck, maybe I can toss my name in the hat and sue em for a billion. Soon anybody who ever bought a cell phone with a qcom chip will be showing up with their tin can.

What did Apple expect: after billions of euros invested in R&D by Qualcomm and many European companies, they can get everything for free, collect the profit and push everyone into bankruptcy. Yes, we are aware of your amazing recent inovations like touch bar on Macbook and wireless earbuds (sarcasm), but some other things are really hard to invent and you have to pay them for a reason.

Qualcomm is far from blameless! They withheld about $1 Billion in payments they owed to Apple in retaliation for Apple cooperating with the anti-trust investigation of QC by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Three major legal actions against Qualcomm are spooking investors and adding an amazing amount of uncertainty to QC's profitability!

Apple is a bully: intellectual property is not for free. Wireless is just one segment of semiconductor industry in which Intel and Apple have monopoly position, not Qualcomm.
