Thread regarding Wal-Mart Stores Inc. layoffs

Stress and anxiety

What I would like to see is doing the RIFs like pulling off a band-aid. Just do it. In one day. Not spreading it over weeks.

This waiting game is causing undo stress and anxiety for far too many people. How many people are not eating or sleeping over this? Whose work performance is being impacted?

It's hard not to just turn it off and focus on your tasks like managers tell us to do.

If you're going to get laid off, it's already been decided. There's nothing you can do to stop it. So just update your resume and do your job. Worrying is nothing but praying for bad things to happen.

Well said. It is hard to focus and get any work done. Also the projects have slowed down as well, everyone waiting for a new strategy and waiting for announcements.
