In the last week of January 2016 250 full time associates were laid off at Hoffman Estates. Will the same thing take place next week, the last fiscal week of January? Anyone hear anything? Any early warning will give us an opportunity to prepare! x

I disagree with the comment about the 'early warning being that people will stop talking to you', in fact at Hoffman it would be the complete opposite, in my department there are so many yes men and manipulative people they would probably start talking to you more just to get some sadistic pleasure from your upcoming misery
Here is an early warning. It will happen within days or months. After BK the Company may or may not attempt to keep its doors open. Most Companies fail about 9 months after a BK and close forever. It is a great time to look for another job if you have skills. Compensation is rising elsewhere but SHLD. Forget severeness start finding your next job now
