Is the asset protection manager being laid off at Sam's Club? I'm concerned that it could be.

Is door greeters gonna go also now that they don't ask to see cards is the position gonna be allimitated
90-95% of the audits have been deleted. One of the categories is soda, a consistently high shrink category. Clothing, as well, will no longer be audited. And on, and on, and on...What will inventory be like next year? And how can the Club even prepare for it? How do you know what your profit is if you don't know what your loss is? YIKES!!!
We have been told that the company is moving in a "new direction." What exactly does that mean?
Most market asset protection managers were let go this week along with the audit team. No more transferring at the registers and greeters only check for dates on receipts. It makes my stomach turn over.
Audit Teams have been eliminated in Sam's Clubs as of April 4, 2017. It was a sad day. Likely, Receiving Associates will be next...when produce and freight are delivered, the items go straight onto the floor. And will Asset Protection then be soon to follow? Membership cards are no longer required at the entrance door and receipts are barely examined at the exit door...a sure recipe for shrink! And maybe Self Checkouts will completely replace cashiers. Then more and more members will buy one get one free!
It's a mess...
Does anyone know when audit lead will be cut ....... already seeing signs of job eliminations
I can see asset protection manager going away in the future. They have very few associates and if cuts are being made to the audit team, they have even less. Maybe not this round of cuts but high probability in the future.
They pretty much wiped out asset protection training at WM home office
No they are staying, but they are getting rid of the audit lead position and only keeping one audit associate.
