Marketing creative team was hit pretty hard today, funny how most of the team had ten or more years with the company.
I myself was at 18, wonder if there's an age discrimination law that has been violated? But then again, they pretty much own everyone in Bentonville.

spent almost two years there, it was so poorly managed i am surprised they did not cleaned it up before
Unfortunately, from a legal perspective, if a role is eliminated, it doesn't matter what age or seniority level the former employee was. Often companies will eliminate roles of people they could otherwise not fire due to protected statuses such as age, etc and create new job titles with similar responsibilities to bring someone younger and/or cheaper in.
