While we are at it...Throw out Obamacare. Toss social security...eliminate Medicare, medicaid, welfare... Everything entitlement program. Get rid of all of them.

Like I said, this has always been the true GOP platform. That's why I love the old school Republican so much when it comes to fiscal policy. This is how it should be all along. No entitlements. Period.

Lastly, some of you older retirees that voted for Trump. I respect that. However, you might have missed this... Trump's pick Mulvaney wants to cut Social Security and Medicare benefits. Your benefits...

http://www.wsj.com/articles/omb-nominee-mick-mulvaney-faces-confirmation-hearings-on-personal-taxes-1485255600

Now, as someone that is 25 years away from retirement, who most likely will never collect social security and medicare, I'm like Halleljah! Nothing would make me more happy than to stop making that social security and medicare taxes I pay so that you old people can live off of a check so that I could redirect all that tax money i pay into my own investment accounts, which I can grow much better than counting medicare/social security when I retire. So I would be elated to see those entitlement programs severely cut. Afterall, I don't need someone to save/invest for me, I'd rather do it myself.

So my hope is that there is medicare/social security reform by Mulvaney, to at least somewhat privatize it so that part of my contribution is to me and me alone. I can only hope....

@1oso. I didn't say it was the CEOs fault did I? I was merely pointing out one of the CEOs that created economic opportunities during the OBama days was the same guy now serving Trump.

Like I keep saying, why do you keep thinking in terms of party lines. These CEOs , economic leaders clearly dont either. They will say and do anything on the surface to kiss the POTUS AZZ no matter which way the wind blows just to keep the same agenda. Whether they actually do what they promise to do (they won't) is completely different. Just look at Warren Buffett now kissing Trump's AZZ after years of kissing Obama and Hillary's.

Anyway, same CEO that was creating foreclosure opportunities during Obama years is same guy going to create opportunities under Trump years. No difference same thing. New opportunities just packaged differently.

You snooze you lose. And then you will wonder where the next 4-8 years went

"Funny part is one of the most aggressive foreclosure banks was One West Bank. Guess who the CEO was? Yup he's on the Trump adviser committee lol.." Yes it was his fault that people lost their homes and not the fact that they were never qualified to begin with. If you had pulse back then, you qualified for any home. Keep talking out of your rear-end.

West Virginia is pretty messed up too. So is oklahoma. So is Missouri, missippi an a lot of states aroind there.... Those I believe are red states and have been messed up longer than 8 years.

Like I said. Keep arguing party lines...All the way to the poor house.

Actually, ironically when the real estate bottom fell out back in 2009 , banks for a period of time had so much inventory and had not properly staffed up , that they couldn't figure out how much homes were worth. A lot of them were legally stolen... But eventually the short sales and REO backlog drained. I miss those days.

1cwn. Sorry if you didn't bother to pick.up any REOs or short sales at 40% off. And sorry you didn't refinance them with 3-3.25% 30 years confirming loans. Because if you did, you would be looking at about 7% ROI on rental income with at a 70% occupancy rate (mine is closer to 85%) ..That's before any subsequent appreciation that happened back to peak values , at least all along the west coast.

If on the other hand, you like in places like Ohio or Detroit. Well that's part of the problem. Economic blight.

@pev first of all, before I reply...I wanted to thank your for your service to our country. It goes without saying that if it weren't for people like you, we would be able to enjoy a lot of the freedom we have in this country that unfortunately many people take for granted.

That said, so what exactly did trunp do? Bring back jobs? Every CEO has already went on record states those jobs were going to be created here anyway regardless of trump even GM and Ford.

And didn't Obama administration bail out GM and Chrsyler or are you going to dismiss that as a non event? How come when Obama bailed out blue collar jobs in GM many of you were containing that shouldn't have happened. But when Trump tries to strong GM into keeping jobs in America that from a cost perspective and business perspective doesn't make sense, that's a good thing?

Again, this is just one of many examples how a lot of you are correct tradicting yourself and arguing over party lines. Good if your party says it, bad if the other party says it. And that's exactly why a lot of you working middle class folks get screwed over. You guys keep arguing party lines and contradicting yourself, your cause ends up getting lost in the process and nothing gets done. Back and forth , and maybe that's the point. Both parties stirring up the pot so nothing really is done to help out many of you that need the most. Kind of like if israel stirs the pot, and get all the Arab nations fighting each other, they leave Israel alone.

There's no doubt Trump has done a lot in so little time. It's clear Trump is going to get things done for the working man. He's clearly keeping his word. Trump had union workers and leaders to the WH and he asked if they had ever been in the Oval Office. Only the senior Union Leaders raised their hands. Trump brought the working man into the Oval Office and showed them their house. If he does that he'll get 4 more years. As a retired military vet I couldn't stand Obama. All I can hope for is Trump does what's right for America

@vkq

Maybe. But I chuckle even more at the trumpeters that give Trump credit for "doing more than Obama has done in 8 years" even when Trump had not been inaugurated yet.

I also laugh that you and the trumpster that on one hand argue "Obama was at fault for colluding with the Fed and Yellen to keep rates low " (which if you are arguing that point, you are admitting Obama had more influence on the stock market and real estate market then you are admitting)...And yet at the same time you are complaining that Obama didnt do anything ( which if you are arguing that point you admit that the Fed was not colluding with the Obama White House)...all you and many Trumpsters are demonstrating is the stereotype that you lack any reasoning and critical thinking skills because you are arguing on both sides of the coin and contradicting yourself, which basically discredits anything you say.

You see the difference between you and your trumpster friends and me is that I don't let political ideology or the noise machines from the left or right get in the way of me always I proving my financial situation no matter who is in charge.

You on the other hand, sit on your fat butt and whine when your party of flavor isn't in office and make a million excuses why you can't get financially ahead..

And thrn when your party is in office, you sit on your butt again waiting for your political party of flavor to spoon feed you without you doing anything...And obviously, after 4 years or 8 years, when your situation hasn't changed and the other party you don't like is back in office, you immediately blame that party even before they take office.

This is the most absurd this that I have observed people in this country do. This is almost like the rivalry I see at football or basketball games between two teams, except what I do the understand is people take these two political parties so seriously tjmjey end up losing focus to take care of themselves financially...The analogy would be you get so wrapped up watching at a football game taunting the opposing team, you forgot you had to go to work the entire week and lost all income....

It's entertaining for me because I just find people who self destruct this way in this country to bizzarre, it's almost comical. And that happens not o Kyla among you Trumpsters but all the far left wing nutjobs too. The two of you kinds of people aren't really that different...You guys both are just two cheerleaders for two teams that pay you almost nothing to cheerlead, while those two parties rake in millions of $$$$$....Just like real cheerleaders on NFL teams.

@qan at least you are taking the first step to admit Obama has done damage to Americans.

This is more than other Democrats have admitted to.

OP has obvious grammatical errors in the sentence. It should read:

Trump has done more DAMAGES for Americans IN ONE WEEK than Obama did in 8 years

Being married to your political party noise machines can be hazardous to your financial health.

Obama was pretty good for the real estate and stock market too.

It's just a matter of taking advantage of opportunities. If you couldn't spot them with Obama, you won't be able to spot them with Trump.

And you'll be in the exact same situation as you are now 4 years or 8 years later.
