So far 113 and 114 are the only rooms booked. So maybe the numbers are low? Or they have a surprise in Feb

Calibration meetings take place across the business this time of year for evaluations.

Maybe they were calibrated for the next round of layoffs. It's easy to set the bar again right after the first round.

Calibrations for current layoffs were completed weeks ago if not months.

My team is being calibrated this week. It's not too late.

I understand that calibration is different. However, if they haven't already done it by now it is too late. I have worked at other companies that were even worse than Walmart about it though. Those were brutal.

Calibration is totally different and is somewhat related to your evaluation. It's a separate scorecard they apply across you and your peers. The score goes in your file and hiring managers may use it to determine whether to go with you vs another candidate. The scariest part about it is that your score isn't necessarily determined by your performance, it's determined by your second level manager and their peers - people you likely have never even worked with.

Having worked in ISD for over 5 years, these meetings could also be the yearly review cycle. Anytime an organization does their annual reviews all at the same time, it is so that they can enforce a bell curve, and start doing yearly layoffs. I know of one person who warned everyone of that 6 years ago when this started, and no one believed him. Now, if you take into account the yearly review and the layoffs, I would NOT want to have my review schedule in the next few days if I were still there.

More than likely this good be used for the exit interviews or it could mean more to come that this is the next group!
