My son has been a loyal worker of Lowe's for 12 years. He has received excellent evaluations and commendations from his supervisors. He has worked his way from a $9 per hour salary to $18 with added benefits . . . not great for it is a living. He was told that they were doing away with his job. He is the head of the seasonal department and is responsible for all the take down and set up that entire department requires several times a year. His excellent record prevents them from firing him. He has a year to find another job within the Lowe's business, but HE WILL HAVE TO START ALL OVER ON THE SALARY/BENEFITS SCALE AND SENORITY CLASSIFICATION. In other words, they want him to quit so they don't have to pay him unemployment. They plan to replace all full-time employees with part-time employees to avoid providing health care. Someone please let the public know what they are doing!

I'm sorry for your loss in working for Lowes. I'm also trying to forgive the fact that the heroes project has stopped and my family must pay the price. Thank you for your time.

I left Lowe's this past September and the timing could not have been better. You are correct they are going after the remaining FT people on the floor after this busy season. The FT people will be training their replacements.
