Does anyone know how the new discount program will affect the retirees?

Retirees will stay the same. the rest of us will now get points which we will have to use within 60 days and some of us will still have points to use when they file Bk and close the doors for good
@1nhs -- I wonder if it has something to do with VI & Guam laws?
The registers will be programmed to recognize & distinguish retiree cards from current cards?
I am not giving SHC a pass on this either way.
IF it's successful in its execution, then Sears has the know how & ability to avoid all those register glitches involving coupons & SYW. My personal faves are the black Friday 30% off coupon that didn't work when the customers had shown up at midnight just to use it and when you sign someone new up for SYW and the SYW system goes down at the end of the sign up. So no new member, big hit to your SYW % and embarrassment in front of the customer who you pushed to sign up.
IF it doesn't work & any ole card can get the $$$ discount, same mess as usual there.
Yes the registers will know retirees card is used because if will be flagged to give a dollars off discount instead of the points. Also associates at Kmart locations in the Virgin Islands and Guam will continue to have a dollars off discount because those stores don't participate in SYWR. I always thought it was weird with All he push for SYWR that they choose not to push SYWR in Guam or Virgin Islands
So the registers will still be able to process the discounts? Very interesting.
Retirees keep the discount unchanged.
Not sure how it will affect retirees but I was told to have my Rewards card linked with my discount card by 1-29-17. I'd call 1-800-991-8708
