The way I see it is Dell is all about the money and nothing more! Faithful employees that have been with Dell several years with good standings meaning nothing to this company! Don't EVER THINK YOUR SAFE ANY WHERE WITH DELL ONCE EMPLOYED.....YOU CLUKD BE SACKED QUICKLY WITHOUTN NOTICE!

Agree, I have heard a lot a lot layoffs around Dell in the Round Rock, Tx area! For someone that has been with Dell for many many years is a slap in the face! Dell is all about money and nothing more! Dell doesn't care about its faithful employees!

Left Dell EMC several months ago. Saw this coming. Sad indeed. But Dell EMC cannot service the debt fast enough with 140,000 employees on the books. That number needs to be closer to 100,000 - or less.

Storage revenue will continue to drop as IT spending shifts from SAN/NAS to HCI. Server revenue for both Dell EMC and HP will also continue to drop as IT spending moves to the (Amazon) cloud where ODMs supply HW. PC business also will be under pressure. So 3 strikes against Dell EMC. Combine this Inability to shift business to cloud combined with old school storage systems thinking with servicing a heavy debt load and you have a recipe for a contracting company. Unfortunately pigheaded strategies cost employees their jobs... The good news is that the US unemployment rate is 4.9% - which is lower that the natural rate of unemployment of 5%. So finding a new job may not be all that difficult. Good luck!

The ones that were shown the door due to a non enforceable or BS PiP early that is a lawsuit just saying,

They have to legally give you a chance to complete what they said you did wrong. Also Dell is known for giving PiPs just to reduce head count.

Sad times indeed. Have a couple of friends punching out for the last time today. Apparently some were moved from "PIP" to "Workforce Reduction" and shown the door a week early. Hopefully their files will at least reflect that. Good luck and Godspeed to all affected.
