News is reporting that Mexico President cancels visit scheduled for next week due to Trump signing Executive order to develop a plan for The Wall.
Trump just announced they are considering a 20% import tax on products coming into the US from Mexico.

Trump's hateful rhetoric has already caused financial problems. Mexico is modernizing at the head of Latin America. They have already shifted to buying Airbus and Sukhoi jets. Mexico can respond by banning the purchase of Boeing jets. They have the second most private aircraft in the world, They can ban Gulfstream, or other American plane purchases. They can get them from Canada, France, or Brazil. They don't need the U.S. and they definitely have less to lose. They can turn to China, France, Germany, Japan for technology and anything else they need. Round up and deport the illegals and America's food production will collapse. How is it that the farm workers are illegal and criminal but the farmers who employ them are not? How about if they start canning their produce and selling it to other countries instead of selling it to us? What is life without avocados?

Hon management thought it would be cheaper to have the works done in Mexico. Wrong.......the overall cost showed that it cost more considering the reject and redo plus the time delayed.

One of the reasons we don't (or didn't) charge a tax for importing goods from Mexico is to keep cost down for the end consumer here in the States. I think the previous post is spot on! Not to worry though...the raise from Honeywell is on its way!
