Froze all spending on internal assessed, now the poor workerbees will overspend on the business funding. What does GRC expect when their overhead rates are 50% higher than at the business? Need to just stop the silliness of golf carts and ice cream trucks and finish laying off the useless orgs.

GE GRC fires 159 plus forcing retirement on many more. One week later, Vic Abate, VP of the research center, sends out a center wide email detailing how important it is to attract fresh young talent and to show how GRC is the best place on Earth at which to work. Nice Vic.
Dust is settling - about 200 people altogether counting ICs and managers let go from Niskayuna. Why isn't the company releasing the official count?
Weitzels Weitzels everywhere. Incredible how the execs get to keep their jobs, even when they are ineffective and overhire. Second round of layoffs should hit in September when the bizness money doesn't come back.
Heh, I remember everyone's heads would snap and turn back when someone knocks or opens the door on layoff days. Good times....

Confirmed by an executive at GE with a big mouth. GRC not aligned with businesses. At least 130 layoffs next week.
