These comments crack me up. So someone one that has been with a company or career spanning 25 plus years is automatically being canned or forced to retire?? Are you guys serious? Please. I know several people with 25 years in to the company that aren't high level but milking it and have been protected from being fired. They are useless too. But getting that paycheck. Give it a rest, the merger falling apart had several high level and low level employees making plan A and Plan B to leave. Nobody wondered why Brown jumped ship so quickly when the Aetna merger initially moved forward. I can guarantee it was because his Resume claimed a higher work experience than he really has INCLUDING claims he was something special at Aetna. Now THAT leaving was a reason to talk. He knew if they came in they would see his padded experience and let him go and/or see he was not needed.
I heard Dr. ER is also retiring.
Man, I loved listening to MC, she was inspiring. This is SCARY. Hundreds of people terminated, COO retires, millions of stock cashed out, VP retires. Everyday it is something new. Just because you don't see the smoke, it doesn't mean there isn't a fire in the woods, the animals running from the forest should be a clue. I think we all need to be ready. It is so sad and breaks my heart.

I have asked several people in different departments, none of which received said email. I think this may be bad information. Along with the thread about the HCMRN 'secret meeting' this morning. Perhaps MF has joined us here in hopes to put us over the edge with anxiety.
