Decades ago the mini computer and sever guys like DEC, SUN, IBM, Cray and many others laughed at intel and x86 for inferior design and performance and their aspirations of taking the high end of computing .
Now many of those companies that had one thing going are gone. The others that had other revenue streams survived.
The combination of large numbers and process leadership crushed them all! Today the ARMy has numbers that are invincible and with ramp of 10nm this year and 7nm next year they will crush x86
Sadly intel is more like DEC, Cray, Wang and other one trick ponies produced lines. Any one want to wager why you think Intel's future will be any different with the clowns current strategy?
