Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Can Puerto Rico decision be revisited????

If Management is monitoring this website, would you consider revisiting the decision to send CP to Puerto Rico? This is insane for our members!!!

The people who make decisions at Humana act in the best interest of themselves and shareholders. For a first world nation, the USA has very little protections or rights for workers. If the work can be done cheaper elsewhere, Humana can and will outsource. It is getting easier to get a workforce equipped and educated overseas. The middle class is eroding and bad behaviors by CEOs, like outsourcing and layoffs , are rewarded.Between shipping jobs abroad and the fact that we are training the elderly not to answer the phone with all the IVR and scams, this job will not exist for long.

I also think that the work regulations in Puerto Rico are much different. Hours, days, etc...I also think Humana might not have to provide Puerto Rico staff with PTO days. This is kind of like the theory of outsourcing-it is a business move to save money. I don't think they will revisit this decision
