To the best of my knowledge, you get a big fat nothing.

Don't understand the point of it myself but if you're going to have it, then award points for the mandatory compliance review.

What do you get with Segno points and badges?

The store managers receive a lot of pressure to have everyone complete the compliance training. I guess the DMs do too. There are charts & threatening emails for this posted all over the store. But there's really no time to do it.

As said below -- it's the same stuff each year. Some of the sections are faulty so you don't get credit for completing them unless you do the section several times.

The company is so cheap that you don't even get worthless Segno points for completing most of the sections. Just a message saying you reviewed the topic. It's insulting.

The nonsensical training schemes are pretty much a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation for the Kmart HRs. Compliance training itself is incredibly asinine, as they expect everyone to basically repeat nearly all of the same training courses EACH YEAR. It doesn't matter how many years you've been there; it seems they just assume we have the long-term memory of goldfish and will have forgotten everything we know by the next year. So, either the HR lead goes after everyone to make sure they are doing their pointless training, which obviously takes people away from their actual jobs, or they don't, and their SM or DM chews them out.

As for hiring, in my experience it seems as though we'll basically hire anyone who is (1) alive, and (2) not a convicted murderer. The company kind of has to have very low standards when everyone either knows or will ultimately learn after being hired that they're going to start at or near minimum wage and will have nearly no prospects for raises of any sort.

Kmart has them.. very useless, definitely a lead that should go!

For those that don't know the Kmart structure, they do all the hiring (that's why we have bottom quality associates), write the schedule (why it's ineffective), and place the bottom quality associates in front of the computer during poor scheduling to complete compliance training.

The Sears stores don't. There was a person years ago. Actually two. Day & night coverage in my store but that's long gone. It's too bad because even to have someone do it as a part of their current job would be helpful. There might be someone in there who is supposed to & doesn't do it. Wouldn't be the 1st time ...

We have a HR department? WOW! That's news to me, I don't think I have ever seen one.
