Thread regarding Sears layoffs

What are we selling? Marketing get with the program!!

I saw a commercial today for Sears, it says something about home products for home owners, well given that 60% of people rent or lease, I would say they are only channeling 40% of the population.

As for Kmart, you need to capture the younger demographic.. expand contemporary collections, move them towards the front of the store and for goodness sake get rid of EGP! Fair and square didn't work for JCpenny .. people want to feel like they are getting a sale!

I saw commercials running during the Presidents' Day sale. For a couple of weeks.

They must be doing it in some markets.

I'm finding it hard to believe you saw a commercial for Sears. I haven't seen one in years.

True about the stats. LOL

Sears could not care any less about its product mix. It's not in business to sell products any more.

55.6% of the population in the United States own the home they live in (that would be more then half) I'd love to know where you are getting your "percent" I hate when people make things up to fit their agenda. BTW renters purchase appliances as well, I've seen plenty of renters purchase a washer/dryer.
