Believe it or not, VDSI team finally getting hit by RIFs. Marni's pet projects in IOT and M2M -- team being let go in 3 months. More to come there... finally figuring out that offshoring is not working, even at $12/hr. You still need 5 times as many people to do the work of 1 onshore.

I agree with you, VZ is not letting a $10-$12 / hour resource just walk away...
They were hired as "full time equivalent" Place-holders
I'll wager most of those folks will be 'miraculously' rehired somewhere else in Verizon. Or they were hired in the first place as 'placeholders' to be let go as part of a larger layoff, to keep up appearances,
When is she getting the boot? She has caused so much damage and is completely incompetent. Like Verizon's own Marissa Mayer.
I doubt if it is good in any way: i.e. I REALLY doubt if the execs say "Oh, offshoring isn't working, let's increase the US headcount" More, "let's cut offshore as well"
