Big Crackdown on Overtime!

Overtime has been cut to almost nothing in most areas except for damages and fios no lights. Work is backing up but vz doesn't seem to care.

That and a lot times they want the workload to build up so that they MUST vendor out some of it even with the home team techs working massive overtime. It saves them money to turn some work over to the B team and the union can't complain since techs are on OT. Wait until Summer.

Overtime is ROUTINELY used in some FiOS locations to punish installers for any number of perceived infraction(s) of any number of (often unspoken) unsatisfactory metrics (productivity being the prime, but not the only one). Many outside FiOS techs have the opportunity to work OT almost any day they choose. Lowell hopes the excessive quantity of work will cause some to quit, to be replaced by another warm body (with NO pension rights). The union ignores the abuse from the ivory tower...

Too bad we can't call the FSC.....there's still a alot we can not do in the "tablet" and if it's there we don't know about it.......Do they expect me to do "tablet training" through net learn on my time? Should I be watching these training videos at home at the dinner table?

Ot is cut in what areas,ny.pa.va,where and under whos watch, thats probably cause vz had 2 bad quarters, and thats not the employees fault its the upper levels in the vz org that are not making the right moves.hum,blow90 etc yuhoo, etc, and now exponent

@ycw - Exactly. Just ignore the customer long enough and eventually they'll just go away. Problem solved. Verizon doesn't need them. They have Lowell.

This is very true has been cut to 0 hours within NRB organization. Every where else it needs to be justified and is scrutinized with a microscope
