If you refuse to drive to a site and you are offered severance, consider yourself lucky.
NO! If you refuse to drive to a site, you will be offered severance period.
They are giving out severance packages
Open office only works for sales teams and call centers. Collaboration? Puh-lease! Most of the teams are not located in the same place, let alone the US. Google got rid of the open office concept a long time ago and for a reason. Honeywell is now 20 years behind the curve.
Wait a minute. I know for a fact there are people who WFH in Rmd. And yet there are still Dept's there that won't allow it. Seems pretty inconsistent. I assume those people got an exemption from the big guy.
1upg: The only "open office space environment" I like is the Amazon room at the RIO during the World Series of Poker.
"Will Darius allow WFH?" Dare to dream. Seems like a planned and coordinated effort. First eliminate WFH to get everyone back in the office cubicle, then begin the costly conversion of the office space from cubicles to open office space. T5's and lower are targeted to be relocated from walled offices and cubicles to the open office space environment. That way we can all collaborate more efficiently and resolve problems at light speed. Good for Honeywell, Good for the customer. Plus all affected get a b--chen new contemporary environment to enjoy their work day. What's not to like. Go Team!
Amen brother. Just waiting to see if I can get severance. Then come back with a new badge.
No chance. Macro trend across business is to end WFH. IBM just shut theirs down. Time for a career change. Become a contractor.
Easy Grasshopper, patience. Thus us a rumor.
To your other point. I believe legal was reviewing cases that people refused to make the drive to the office but not 100%.
Is this just another rumor? How was this confirmed? I thought legal was reviewing the WFH cases and would give options in the near term. Time for management to step up and press HR for answers. This has drug out way to long. I have lost all faith in this company. Maybe this WFH policy enforcement was just a hoax? Drag it out, piss us off, hoping we will quit. What a way to run the company.
Oh STINK! I hope not. After all we've been through, they need to wrap this up.
Can't believe this much time pssses, fold move, people leave then they say hold on, let's wait? No I think not.
I have heard HE is the one behind it. Hope that's wrong, but I wouldn't hold your breath
I am tired of the guessing and supposing. I just want an answer. This roller coaster for 6 months is really wearing on me. No company should do this to any employee.
