just heard that announcement was made that in 1 year, print center will be in Dallas. Not all given jobs & move package. Some given severance. If you don't go and were given a job, you don't get severence then I guess?

I am a leader and never seen so much disrespect to employees in my life. An unofficial hiring freeze is in place. We were told if anyone leaves positions will not be filled. Leaders were instructed to push out, tenured employees that are not meeting production to save cost to prevent an official layoff. The focus has shifted from quality to quantity across the entire company. Adjusters can't keep up now and customers will see the impact. Many claims have aging tasks not being worked. The moral is horrible more now than ever. Major systems issues everyday... So customers and employees be aware...

It is a shame that Allstate is considering outsourcing their print facility in Wheeling. There are over 150 dedicated employees who have always put the Allstate internal and external customer first. Since the 1960's Allstate has been more profitable by keeping their print work "in house". The Wheeling facility has always adjusted to printing trends, from moving away from film and moving to computer to plate, to the more resent print on demand to remain competitive with commercial printers. They are able to meet extreme deadlines, produce exceptional quality with attention to detail, and provide exceptional customer service at no extra cost to it's parent company.

Multiple layoffs all around this year for sure. If your considering Allstate as a potential employer for a job change beware.
