About time things were tightened up. Companies like Cisco have been abusing this system and exploiting it for cheap labour for far too long. "Specialised skills?" Don't make me laugh!

@iypy Also wrong. USCIS have 240 days to determine a visa. They can reject it. That's the point - if it's automatically granted then it's a farce, not a visa. And I don't know who all those companies are making huge profits on business in India - we lose money on most deals there.

USCIS can take their own time to process visa or can reject it. I guess India should kick out some US companies who are making huge profits from their businesses in India. Trump is playing dangerous game. Trump has become very smart ever since court has stayed his travel ban order. He is saying one thing in front of TV but Sametime he is directing this immigration officers to delay visa processing on frivolous grounds. Eventually he will not issue any visas

The option to expedite has been cancelled starting in April. It is a good first step to the proper use of the h1b process. It was intended for "critical" talent not cheap labor for Silicon Valley venture capitalists, wal street focused executives and India IT companies to abuse workers. The next step is raising and enforcing the wage. After all true "critical" talent should be high dollar.

Why do you want someone on this list to confirm? I seriously doubt anyone who works with the US Immigration department is watching Cisco's forum on this site.

I have 6 words for you: Let Me Google This For You It's all over the Washington Post, CNN etc. Read the news stories and you'll know as much as the rest of us. Oh, wait. That's FAKE News. Never mind. Nothing to read here. Stick you head back in the sand.
