Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Tips for surviving in a nut shell at Dell Emc

Neither Dell nor Emc storage management will give a damn, all you have to do is---don't hurt their ego

Developers: just do what your told, don't use your knowledge to make the product any better

Release Engg: just adhere to branching and version control told by executives. Don't get creative about merges, patches and code checking

DevOps: just kiss a-- upper management, remember you don't have to make tools for product and you don't have to develop anything. just create graphs and metrics for managers/directors to make a fool out of higher management and VP's.

To all executives, VP's and higher, spend few minutes in analyzing who prepared that document.

Sustaining, L3, copilot, support: you guys are in the best position in terms of job stability. With all known issues with VMAX, XtremIO, VNX, unity, compellent etc.etc.etc.

QA: you are living in Disneyland, look at your pay. substandard, under skilled, under educated, fake resumes, fake skill sets, fake references during applications and fake degrees especially among Indians.

I am saying with authoritative as I know it for sure.

So why is Dell selling so much and customers are still buying -------- I wish I had answer

Hope all CTO's and customers will regret one day

But that is the reality of life. We work to continue help make Mr Dell and his cronies rich. If not we have to choose another rich man to work for. I am far from rich and need to work or I starve. Jack Ma sounds good. But am open to more suggestions.

“Men, it has been well said, think in herds. It will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one (or in popular vernacular, go full retard).”
