Are solution specialists safe. Ive read conflicting info....would they simply layoff the poor performing or would they just look at long time employees and cut them even if they perform better than others?

SS are not safe. Commissioned jobs don't mean you are bringing in money to the store. If you are not productive why would the company want to keep you? Head count matters as well. Some stores are overstaffed.
Someone on here said bottom 20% in productivity and someone else said bottom 15%
Solution Specialist are safe (Hiring Freeze and not backfilling these postions but no direct lay offs) SS quit all the time for any number of reasons. If you dont directly bring money into the company aka commissioned job be very nervous.
