Does anyone know when the front line "yearly" LR happens? Is it in august? Significant rumors indicate one is coming, wondering how long we have to wait.

So disappointing that we will likely have decent size LR, while at the same time have GSX. Talk about a waste of money! Where is the ROI on that boondoggle ?!
Nice to have back in the old days when we were printing money, but to have and lay off people within the same few months is foolish
@1mzv: Correct. Grade 13 and above and there is no mid-year bonus. The mid-year pay-out is for the 'little people' and your management chain gives zero fuks. The pigs come to the trough @ year end.
The execs just want to make it to end of FY, so they get their 40%+ bonus in September. Doesn't matter if they are laid off in August, they still get it.

The "big" ones are almost always announced during the year-end earnings call. In 2011, they announced it in May, but it took effect in Aug '11. In '16, it was announced during the earning's call and US impacted employees were told the very next day. Chuckie doesn't let the axe hang over your head for long like Chambers did.
Then again, the way stealth LR's have been happening ever since the big one in Aug, the axe is there, but no one knows how many people.
How does Cisco get away with not informing the state of North Carolina about the LR's under the WARN act like it does in California? I looked at the available NC reports as far back as they went and never saw Cisco's name mentioned. Look at CA's data, and Cisco is there all the time for 100 here, 1000 there.
No one has been LR from Digital transformation yet. I assume that LR will happen with the larger frontline sales LR - I thought in the past this happens in August, but that seems like a long time to let the digital group sit and do nothing as they await the culling.

Assume it'll come any time from anywhere. Best hope you haven't upset anyone. A few nasty ones with an agenda will be the end of you. Big ones usually wait until August but perhaps you'll be taken out with a little one.
