VLSS was hit for people whose paychecks came from VzW (VLSS is an odd mix of wireline and wireless paychecks; while they're all one team the finances/raises/rifs depend more on the company paying them than their job performance.
I know people rag on VLSS but there are a lot of good folks who got talked into joining it for "professional development". What a load of crap.
HQ Marketing and Ops also impacted
NOC and NRB employees are being affected also.
