They need to fire GMs, SM's do their work for them and have a better understanding and concept of the business. OUR GM is useless and needs to see the store.

There are some stores in the TN/WNC district that have 5 managers in a store! Absolutely absurd! Too many chiefs in one location & they pretty much do absolutely nothing all day except walk around & look busy! Sad that good employees are let go & they keep dead weight on the payroll
I'm an SM at a store with 3 SMs. We are not losing any managers. We had 2 RSS's fired today though.
"A" store in socal with very high traffic. Only lost one but still have 3.
"A" store in SE and we are down to 2 SMs with no RSS. I'm going to have to start coming in early and doing RSS duties as an SS. This is going to hurt and make it hard to be productive.
That's not necessarily true. We still have three; only one SM in our district was laid off. We are an A level store with tons of traffic; without the RSS there's no way we'd be able to function with 2 SM.
South Central market is only RSS. No SM
Don't spread rumors. A lot of it is based on FTE. Some stores in our district still have 4. Others have been running 3 for a bit. 2 managers were impacted here.
This will vary by market. There is no black and white "2 SMS per store" headcount.
Getting rid of dead wood, old wood, and new wood. Long range plan is to close all company owned retail locations.
In a large district in Pacific Market lost all RSS, and 4 Of the 25-30ish SM's in the district, none from my store. I believe that's all for today.
History repeating itself. They did this 5 years ago to reduce payroll and ended up hiring the roles back under a different title in very short order. Should probably be illegal but they are good at skirting employment law
Great Lakes lost all RSS but no SMs that we know of. Wouldn't be surprised if happens again by the end of the second quarter
SE market here, our store was reduced to two but I know of a nearby store that kept 3. Both stores have lost 1 each so far
