Can someone recommend me a good Employment Attorney in Los Angeles. I think I will be cut while two less quailified candidates with personal (and family) ties to the manager will be kept. Unless they are discriminating against a disability I'm not sure you have much of a case. What you're talking about is not against the law in a RIF situation.
Matern Law Group in Manhattan Beach, they are off Rosecrans... they specialize in this and can guide you as you explore options. Just search for contact info, dont have it handy. Do not disclose any additional detail except to your counsel, anyone you talk to can be subpoenaed. Good luck, it will be an uphill legal battle for you as VZ will throw a ton of legal resource into the mix... they will likely settle, they always do...
