You know Verizon is a corporation and this is what corporations do. Layoffs aren't the new norm... online sales are. Verizon has always been a great company to work for. If you can't adjust then it's time to go.

Actually a lot less than predicted happened. This site should be called chicken Little's layoff rumors.
Don't worry. Verizon never fails to disappoint when it comes to kicking hard working employees to the curb. More to come! Layoffs are the new normal.
