After all of the posts over the last few days and the "from a good source" posting's and "gm" "DM" " posts in the end for the most part RSS are the onesthat are being let go. Most of these posts are full of past Vzw employees and non Vzw employees I know quit ea few SS in the bottom 20 that were ready to go home jobless today after reading these posts. It is iresponsible to post information that is speculation. People's lives are being changed. In the future i hope that a little more transparency is exercised

There was supposed to be a broader layoff today. District reorganization for retail and operations. A graduated approach means that they have time to get the information from the field ops people instead of losing the RSS and Field Ops team at the same time. This will become a quarterly event.
I was an RSS affected and believe me, after over a decade in this business, I was fearful every round. It never stopped. This is a release and I am happy to be gone of this stress. Everyone is expendable...EVERYONE...

If you are afraid that your job will be eliminated then you realize you have a job that is eliminatable.
It was the same in every district bubble what was being said is that the posts were claiming much wider spread elimination
I would like to think some posts here are for encouragement to those who been laid off. Us ex employees have seen that things work out for the better and that there's light at the other end of the tunnel. It s---s that people lose their job. This company continues taking on profit and continues increasing executive pay yet continue with layoffs and wasting money time after time on stupid ideas and investments. The company is clearly directionless and is a sinking ship. Count your blessings and enjoy the new opportunities that await you.
Better to have some info than none Vzw would have kept us in the dark. Better to think you might lose your job and not than to go into your layoff blind... Besides. More layoffs are clearly coming. Didn't you see the reorg announcement? VZW retail is going digital first.
You have your head up your a$$ about 4000 employees were cut today. You think because you didn't see much in your little district bubble nothing happened.

Agreed these post cause more panic than ease.
