Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

I was part of the Nov '16 layoff as an ES. At that time I saw the writing on the wall and that there could and would be more layoffs coming down the pike. Frankly I feel very sorry for all of those who were "chosen" for the RSS positions because unfortunately you were sold a bill of goods and only used until they could implement the next round of layoffs. I remember my GM saying to me that I should apply for another position and I said no thanks. Who would want to work for them in another capacity after they screwed you so bad the first time? Consider yourself lucky you got out now trust me after you get past the shock you will be relieved and happy that you got out of this company and you will realize that you will be so much happier in your life. i know that I have never felt better to be gone from a place and it took them doing me a favor by laying me off to know how truly miserable and unhappy I was and just going through the motions everyday so I could collect a good paycheck. Take some time for yourself, bank your severance, spend time with your family which will make you and them feel better, get your resume together, apply for unemployment after the severance period is over and get on your knees and thank God you got out with your mental faculties and health in tact after working for this insane asylum called VZW. Trust me there is a satisfying and fulfilling life on the other side of this demented rainbow. Best of luck to all!
