All you UK moaners

Why are you still at Cisco? If you've left, why are you coming here?

Heard a se in Bedfont has been assigned into training the wicked witch on how to use Spark, a phone, webex, email.... perhaps some manners would not go astray along with a helping of "this is not possible ".

The next week will be very disorganized and confusing whilst the sword of Damocles hangs over our heads as lists are assembled by the spike heal witch and other trogs

BH weekend over, Q3 over, let the hunger games begin. DC SEM looking very nervous lately. PAMs scampering around. PSS in hiding and remain under the iron lady's fist.

Partner org is the only good thing Cisco has. I mean without them we wouldn't do any business and we wouldn't have a bunch of tw@ts being sent to Chairmans Club. And don't forget that pointy pose, Cisco wouldn't be the same without it, a real game changer created by the dumbest person I've ever met who makes six figures. At least they give the rest of us something to take the pis5 out of. :)

Last poster NAILED it on the head. Snif snif s--- is all she does to the level not directly above her but the one above. I've left the company now but it was a fact that she kept sidelining n backstabbing her old boss and when he said he would part retire she went into super stealth mode and weaseled her way into his job through connections that people did not even know exisisted.

Ask her for a meeting in Bedfont and a he will moan moan to stay in her swanky flat with the mutt, can't use any of the collab tool even after years and years of one on one training from so many peeps in biz. Blocks her diary to everyone......Loves to hack down everyone else's teams bar hers which is Sh--e but untouchable.

Glad to be far away from her and her hatred of the expecting mothers parking spots.

@evjl a few years ago I attended a VT with the woman that I think you refer to as the witch (that's a new one on me). It was a year or two before she was made Director (to the surprise of everyone) and it was the first time I'd really had anything to do with her. On the journey over she was perfectly friendly with the UK group but, once we got there, she spent the entire week chasing meeting with anyone with Director or VP in the title. She completely blanked the UK team. In five days I only saw her attend two sessions, which, given we restricted attendance on cost grounds, was a waste of a seat. Back at SFO again, it was as if nothing had happened and we were all mates. Strange behaviour. Very happy that I'm now well out of her reach, or her stilettos.

Mate, they could shutter Bedfont and nobody would notice except the whacked wicked witch who thrives on the blood of others. She would need to move to the states and find another host.

CONFIRMED cull coming in U.K. Sales org. Tighten up your fcst and overlay metrics, slt gunning for lazy bandits who talk good story but don't deliver anything, attend dinners n events but can't do basic things, smooze the execs with touchy feely behaviour. Sickening to have so many of these girls and boys in UK riding the CDA bandwagon.

Architects to get hit slightly higher than the "partner org" on a percentage basis... something like 8%, however, it's still too early as the executives don't start their horse trading in earnest until June/July. Isn't it wonderful!!

No doubt Cisco is the best place to work between May and July. August redundancies have made Aug,Sep a pain. My handicap is dropping 3 shots a year furring these months. All I do is forecast runrate! Long may the gravy train continue.

Mate, I'm a hider in the partner org. It's very lucrative thus far and when I'm done taking selfies in the Bedfont cafeteria or "executive centre" it's off to the pitch to stay fit. I love spring and summer!

There are two types of employees at Cisco

  • Storytellers. Spend their time promoting themselves. No actual work accomplished, occasionally takes credit for others work

  • Hiders. Employees that have been at Cisco for a long time, and know how to avoid work & responsibilities. These people typically spend a great deal of time brown nosing

Can a company filled with storytellers & hiders survive?

Forget all this. Anyone know what exactly Uki marketing does? Most turn up for one day a week in Bedfont, eat cakes, take selfies , post tweets and then slope off early.

I think a few people here need to lay off the methylated spirits!

The CTO thing is just a (stupid) title. I lose count of the number of CTOs there are in this industry. Does that place the blame for everything that's wrong with Cisco at the feet of the individual(s) filling those shoes? No way!

The rot in Cisco comes from the top. CFO running the business, technology 5 years behind the market and no ability to execute on market transitions. Chambers missed the change and Chuck is spending so much time trying to stay afloat he can't see that Cisco is still pointing towards sharks and lasers.

The UK's perpetual inability to promote/payrise talent and the losers running the show only matter because the company is broken. They're easy targets, but they're not where your frustrations should lie.

In other words, get out as fast as you can!

CTO of Partner Org...

About two years ago it seemed like every single VP hired their own CTO. I just want to know what Customer Success Transformation is... there's a division, just can't figure out what they do. Isn't every org focused on customer success....

The partner org is here to replace lame elderly sales pukes that live in the past and complain endlessly. I'm very happy I've found another grade 13 role I can take on in Germany and leave the uk behind.

I find it a little bit sad and quite pathetic that the OP felt compelled to open a new post with that heading. It also confirms that any vibes expressed on this forum are genuine and being felt in the trenches and also that the management teams are ill-equipped to turn it around. Just keep your head in the sand and collect your big bonus for as long as the gravy train keeps going.

Fortris Europa was dismantled over 75 years ago.

I keep coming back because Cisco represents a big part of my life history, as it does for many here.

Just because a person is critical of others doesn't mean that person doesn't care about the company.

Besides that, people need to be able to truly message how they feel, especially if they are trying to explain their position.

Do not get me started on partner org. Inept leadership with no style or substance. Are doing more extra curricular stuff than managing n developing partner. Sem calling themselves CTO!!! Joke . basically they all just spend time in pubs bars, trips abroad to events....anything but work.

You mean the TeamSpace software? It's going to teach you how to work better with your team-members. Or an alterere motive like tapping into your brain to see the personalities they want and don't want on the team.

Someone told me they lied to guess the desired answers, and got a call from HR to verbally go through the mind analysis. It knows when you contradict yourself. Apparently Cisco spent a lot of money on this and putting a lot of faith in it.

Partner and sales org here in EU are a bunch of muppet soft c@cks with little to show but preservation for their bloated salaries. If you could look at their diaries, it's all vapid sh"t like that LAME "leadership" call we had yesterday talking about the new HR rubish tracking SW they are rolling out

Probably because the place is full of talentless tw@ts who have been there far too long and are ruining the company for those who want it to succeed and progress. Look at all the jokers in partner org getting paid £150k+ to go around making up stupid poses. Posting d1ckhead pics all over the office and online. Complete bunch of w4nkers!

"Director of Architectures" really seems like a bullsh!t title. Like it was made up for someone so they can get paid because they happen to have unflattering pictures of their boss with a goat or something.
