Does anyone know if receiving positions will be eliminated?

Who will receive freight during the day if they get rid of receiving associates?
I find it hard to believe claims will go away. What would they do with all returns and damages?
And when are these layoffs suppose to happen?
I have heard receiving clerk but the question is when...not sure what is coming up for this week
We only have a receiving lead and receiving clerk. Who do you think will go?

Pilot testing removed accounting and invoicing at Walmart. Don't know how they could do claims without a human, but, I'm sure they will eventually find a way since that's where a lot of long term, high dollar, associates are.
I hurt for all my friends and for those I don't know that lost their audit jobs.
Years and years and years of giving their all and for what? Nothing.
My prayers are with everyone who had been affected by these layoffs.
A test pilot was done at 500 Walmart's last year. Terminate claims,accounting and receiving clerk. High ups decide it was a success and implemented into all Walmart's. And where Walmart goes Sam's soon follows. My best to everyone who has been affected by this. As for me ,I am thinking of taking their offer and going. Auditor out and gone. God Bless.

Maybe receiving lead, not dock associates . They need claims : no way that's going away.

Yeah. I would say so. It's been rumored to be going away for months.
Looks like it will be phased out along with other office positions. That rumor has been going around for months. Where there's smoke there is fire.
More than likely that will be eliminated. All office jobs seem to be in danger.
