That management thing is by design so they're not protected by the NLRA and hence can't unionize. I've asked people I know who work there and they say they manage themselves. Makes no sense at all, other than a legal maneuver.

You're crazy. Walmart will NEVER unionize.

You know how they say, "Never say never!"

I'm saying never. It will never happen. People are too scared to try because they'll get fired.

Also nobody wants to pay union dues.

Finally, how the heck would home office unionize? It's mostly salaried workers. Even though most folks don't manage people, they're still considered management.

Before WM, I worked at a competitor while I went to college. I stocked groceries. It was unionized. A useless union but one nonetheless. Back then I hated them.

I have come to the realization that every job should be unionized. The good paying jobs are going the way of the dodo, slowly but surely. Or outsourced. Eventually this country will be made of 80% of nothing but the working poor. 2-3 jobs just to buy the basic necessities and squeak by. No amount of education will get you a decent job. Who wants to do that? I have never met a poor person that says they enjoy being poor.

Most states are passing right to work laws. This means they don't need an excuse to fire you. Too old? Gone. Make too much money? Gone. Rated leadership poorly on the AES? Gone. Aren't enthusiast enough when you say the company cheer? Gone.

Perhaps this idea is not that far fetched as people think. The trouble would be uniting 1.4M people.

Well if you don't want to be replaced with H1b candidates, support companies that hire American and buy American.

Or run for office. Educate family and friends on what the problem is and find a politician/be a politician that votes against exporting American jobs.

If you're not willing to do that, don't cry about your job going over-seas. You did it to yourself.
