APM becoming Audit Team

After seeing the papers and schedule for audits going forward the APM will be the one organizing and making sure audits are getting done on the monthly schedule.

They are also picking up paperwork from Audit like verifying the On Hand Changes, Refund Sellable/Defective, Price Override, Code2/3 and making sure Test Scanning, CWO, and No Movement are getting done.

All on top of their other jobs being an opening and closing manager.

So if you are an audit team member who had a weak APM that job might be something to look into going down the road.

The neighborhood markets have APM positions that handle up to 10 stores. Has anyone considered the fact that they could be consolidating them as well on this side, they have already did that with the MAPM's and it would greatly reduce the huge expense that just occured with the federally mandated minium pay adjustment for salaried members of management or bring the job it's self to an hourly position as it was intended to be initially in 2006. If they leave it salaried, there will be APM'S having to reapply for positions. Just a thought, Good luck.

Audit did so much more than just monitor shrink. It's amazing to see how fast years worth of meticulous work from audits and inventory prep can go down the drain.

Not a single bit of anything has been cleared from the counts screens and there are items around the club out of stock that show on hands that no one is clearing out. Members are ordering things on click and pull that aren't in the club.

Watch the panic when someone can't get items to scan with no audit team to use the screens on Smart that no one else uses.

This is going to hurt from a member service standpoint just as much as the inflated surprise shrink at inventory time.

They simply didn't think it through because they saw 3 people on a team that they didn't understand the things that they did without being hassled about it on a daily basis.

Without audit you might as well just shut off CIM and send back the TC70s

My daughter is an APM has yet to hear anything new since her team was dismantled. Which by the upset her terribly becausr of what has happening to the people on her team. I am not sure about other APM's but I can tell you she had a LOT on her plate and put in 50-60 hours a week and sometimes more.

Her title changed almost immediately to Experienced Manager. It's sad that this new CEO cares so very little about thise who have dedicated so many years to the company.

It would've made more sense to keep the audit teams and get rid of the APM's and let audit absorb their jobs. Most APM's don't have a clue as to what all the audit team took care of and they were directly over audit because most audt teams were probably on auto pilot with knowledge. Good luck to all you APM's you all are going to need it!

Sorry, but most of the APM'S have no idea about actually doing audits. They had their audit teams

handle all audits. With them taking on manager duties, they don't know if they are coming or going.

I can see where shrink is going with scan "n go, self check outs, cashiers not transferring and yes no membership needed to enter club. I imagine this will be the time they fire general managers because they will now hold them accountable. This will be the time to again trim the fat. They are being set up

to fail. They will now have to start managing both partners and managers.

I find it very hard to believe that the APM is going to perform all the duties that three full time Audit team members did. CIM is a joke in our Club. Complete category audits take forever because the steel is not accurate. Only three category audits will be done monthly going forward. Good luck to the APM's out there.
