Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

HAH: cold!!! More like frozen :(

It has always amazed me how cold the culture is at HAH!

Someone announces they are leaving, it's taken as if they don't care!

Someone leaves, the team is not informed, no good bye huddle, a message, nothing! It's almost as if they want us to think everybody is fired/in trouble when they leave?

We are humans! We are not robots, we have feelings! Sad to work for such robotic and cold company!

The management there is clueless why employees would leave such a wonderful job.

Lol-Im choking on my sarcasm!

So glad that I took my PTO & 401k

& left. They don't deserve good employees with a normal, healthy conscience!

I think it has changed in recent months. We always had a virtual going away meeting when someone left our team in the past, not so much anymore. Sorry to hear that there are coaches and teams out there that did not make associates feel welcomed. That is critical at a time like this! The practice where the associate does not let their co-workers know that they are working out a two week notice; I think that is a management decision coming down from above our coach.

I left shortly after suddenly being moved to a new team. I didn't know anyone and the coach was not very nice. Can not believe how differently each team is run. I guess I could have informed the team but was so numb to Humana and the "so and so is no longer with the company" jargon that I just walked away and didn't make an announcement. I had the whole policy for resigning read to me verbatim like a child. So don't think a random message about someone being gone suddenly means they did something wrong: the Coach (in my case at least) thought it would look better to wait to announce my "absence" in a sudden way. Deflects the actual reason for leaving and not the truth that I had the strength to walk away and preserve my integrity.

Not surprised. Poor management and lack of sensitivity is the norm. So glad to be gone.

It all depends on the manager.

My coach always has the person leaving inform the team before they go or if person was fired they say they are no longer with Humana. Your coach must be choosing to handle things that way.
