I think this is getting a bit out of hand, people's livelihood is at stake. We have a laugh between merpro and rig, however we all have bills to pay and mouths to feed.
But is there room for another 66 overpaid painters down the road. 😂
Every job goin thru that facility has been a fu__-up from start to finish. the engineers/managers have no clue how to run a job. Now they can't even close it down and get that right. They got the head count wrong, now that's sorted they've advertised new positions with job descriptions that are clearly wrong. apparently you need to be a time served electrician with an HND to get a job as a stores lead. The whole company is a joke, run by incompetent fools. No ringmaster in this circus, it's being run by the clowns.
@angryfitter Nice comment bringing apprentices into it.. your downfall was being an awfully run company and a management who doesn't care about its workforce. Unlucky mate. Hope you find a new job soon. Haha.

Well said, most of the mancs feel sympathy, the same can probably be said when the Gateshead closure was announced and Montrose and Elmar took the p!ss at our misfortune.anyone with any sense wouldn't mock as it will happen to them at some point, that's the way NOV and all the oil and gas work, good luck to Merpro lads

Just want to take a second to remind everyone that there are 67 lives and families being affected by this, worrying about their rent/mortgage and their children.
Take a second to think how awful you'd feel in that position and think before you make spiteful comments.

Needs a couple of big jobs. With the right people and a big job or two to resettle they can run lean for a long time, at least another year. Fjords is the deathnail. Noggies in charge now so no slack will be allowed.
