There is a 3rd party company that is coming to Sam's 6 times a month. They started this week in our club. Their job is to stock books and pull returns.

I cannot stand that Sam's is taking away jobs from associates and giving them to 3rd party vendors.

This company has gotten so greedy. I am tired of hearing from Coporate that respect for the individual is their top priority. I don't believe it with all the job eliminations they did in April. I was one of the associates affected. Today I got information pertaining to my displacement. I have 5 days left before date of termination. This information should have been given to us on the day we were notified.

Displaced associates should NOT take a pay cut for a new job as it was not their fault.

I believe it was just one of the reports they stopped auto generating to be greener. They had stopped the category shrink report prior to that as well.

Use KPI for the needed information now.

Last month they got rid of the WCM007-1 report in the smart system. It just disappeared. That was the weekly category damage report and our GM liked to review it with claims every Friday. A sign of things to come or just a glitch in the system?

I agree. They are giving the audits to the team leads to do. They could easily have them do the claims stuff too.

Whose to say they decide to keep any of those programs? They could easily stop orange ticket program (electronics could do their own high dollar tv's). Transfers and most rtv's could go away too. Most of the books at Walmart are pulled by the company who does magazines and only covers are returned. Receiving could be in charge of recalls. And team leads/managers could handle damages. I know Walmart does a lot less of returning defective items and a lot more of just marking an item "out of system".

Sam's may be following Walmart.

I don't feel as safe as I once did.

I didn't think getting rid of audit was possible either but now nothing will surprise me!

I don't see how it's possible. Who's going to do damages from the floor and refunds? RTV? Transfers? Liquidation? Mark downs/code 2? Not to mention we now have to do box audits now that were formally APM's responsibility.
