Ok - this is driving me nuts! I have a coworker who sits at his desk and will be on a phone call and then will start CLIPPING HIS NAILS!!! And not just his fingers - he clips his toenails too! It is seriously so disgusting! Why does he feel the need to do that at his desk in an open office space?! It's so disgusting. How should I go about getting him to stop? It seriously makes me not want to be At work.

The weatherford way is to talk about it behind their back.
If he's clipping his toe nails, he can't be doing work. I guess going to his boss will do the trick.
Grow up. Busy yourself with work. Feel free to find employment elsewhere.

Who gives a f--- what he does. Worry about what YOU have to do. Put ear plugs in, and really, unless he's the only person on this planet who's nails grow back every day, then this is happening at MOST once every 2 weeks. This is the biggest issue you have in your office? Go get some work for WFT.
You could tell him how you feel about it. Or find a coworker who could talk to him about it. Some people are better at confronting these things in a tactful way than others. I know it's not easy. I had a similar experience (not nail clipping but something else) but I didn't have the guts to say anything about it.
