Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Is it the quiet before the storm

Coincidence that management has taken a step back after the mass exodus of employees? HCM RNs were told by management that they have 10,000 members that need HCMs. I hope they realize that treating hard working people like they're worthless and insufficient doesn't work in the companies favors. Humana now needs to offer bonuses to employees and quit being greedy and pocketing all of it. That would be great incentive to stay with them and a goodles show of appreciation. I won't hold my breath for that to happen.

I left last week and I know many left but not exact numbers. They will continue to play head games with those who are left and yes until all upper management gone from COM's up then nothing will change. The new easing up on metric is a joke, they are pitting us against each other, coaches, COM's too. There is power in sticking together but you always have those nurses who won't and will backstab another nurse without even batting an eye. There should be NO excuses for not letting the 4 day 10 hr staff have their schedules back too! HAH current management style of bullying will be the downfall of the program if they don't change.

Not quite sure what the purpose of the focus groups are...the decisions are made, and this is the way to get us to feel part of the "big picture "?

For things to get better they would have to clean house of upper management starting with MF.

I bet it's WAY more than 10,000 mbrs waiting on HCMs. If an HCM has a roster of 225 mbrs, that's equal to 50 HCMs. I have no idea how many have left, but I really feel it's been more than 50. That number wouldn't get attention from the powers that be. I maybe wrong--Humana has dumbed me down.

And as far as the well deserved bonuses we basically don't get, busting your keester to get the best rating on an eval, no matter how many roles you take on, focus groups you become a part of, getting an extra 20 a paycheck for your " raise" is extremely insulting. Well said poster!

Well said! I keep thinking that it is awfully quiet too! No idiotic meetings have been scheduled yet either...

Well said poster. So glad to have gotten severance and 401k. Already have a new job. No reason for good employees to be treated so poorly.

I left not long ago. I tried to hold out, hoping they would wake up and care. Hopefully they can get some new management. I can't see it improving with the old guard. HAH is not the military. You can't run it like it is.
