"I got riffed from VZW a year ago, and my retirement account still gets a 50% discount.
Has it changed?"
VzW retirees keep the same 50% discount as before, those from other parts of VZ go to the 25% discount (on the shared data only)
I got riffed from VZW a year ago, and my retirement account still gets a 50% discount.
Has it changed?
Wasn't counting on that. Thats an extra ~$82 a month. Heellooo Temo. Tx for the info 3mid
"I roll over to retiree discount then (25%).. "
This just happened to me and I was not quite prepared for the difference. On the "new" plan, the employee discount gives 50% off the data portion and 50% off the line access. The retiree plan just gives 25% off the data portion, so 4 lines go from $40 to $80 and of course the data cost goes up (that I was prepared for). And if you are on unlimited, while employees get 50% discount on that, retirees get no discount, just like any other customer.
With Tmobile $160 unlimited for 4 lines with no fees, compared to VZ $180 before fees, if the coverage works, well worth looking into.
I roll over to retiree discount then (25%).. gotta look into Temo. Vz is way better up here once you get out into the RSAs but not sure if it's $600/yr better.
30 days or the second bill cycle after you're off the payroll. Not when your severance runs out.
Does the employee discount end when you're off payroll or when you're severence benefits expire?
When they closed down the Irvine CA wireless call center, I probably disco'd a coupe of hundred accounts for people, and waived the etf's.
Just port out before 30 days, and you should be fine.
I was still doing it six months later, but management didn't know about it :)
Yes, you can port out with out any etf.
Go to T-Mobile. Trade in your phone. They will give u a debit card for your etf. Their Network is just as good. Don't believe the hype of best network. That does fly anymore.
Installments like Device Payment?
I can confirm if under contract there is no ETF but installments you're responsible for. I ported all my lines to T-Mobile got smart phones for my parents and a tab and still pay less than Verizon even when I had a discount. Lol
Yes it would be due to the last round of layoff.
Actually if you get let go due to RIF, they remove contracts but installments will be billed.
If you have an employee discount, they automatically change your account in 30 days after being let go. You better off taking the steps first before the outrageous bill comes in.
yup
It's the same as with any account. If you're in contract and there's still an etf, you'll be billed for it. They don't waive it just because you've been let go from the company.
yes you can. You can also request for your current contracts to be cancelled.
