I know some PDC functional groups had their meetings and selections but not all, and curious to know what has been going on with these functional PDCs.

You can tell your grandchildren about the wonderful PMP, PDC, and CPDEP processes you abided by to receive your CIP. And how it was the best of times!
I knew it. It's the same "LMAO" clown we've seen posting on this site for a long while already. Admit it, it's you, there's no shame. Many of us here were laid off long ago like you and still trolling this site with others to see what's new. Many of us wishing the worst for the company as retribution. Right?
2PIY, still working at Chevron and I am not in this PDC, so I am good for now. Was enjoying my lunch today and figured I would respond to the nonsense you folks post. Figured this board could use an alternate voice. Well back to making hay.
2piy: It's curious you say that if you were to get laid off, you wouldn't be wasting your time here on this site. Yet you assume us to believe you still work for Chevron, but here you are following on threads and up yapping it up on this site. Too funny!
2URA, I can assure you If I get laid off I will not be on this board complaining. I will do like others who don't blame others for their troubles. I will look and get another job. Again, Chevron is no different than any other company, when things get tough employees are looked at as head count, if you think differently you are silly. Until that time comes, back to making hay.
2ctv: Who will make you expendable? Surely it will be someone who is superior to you in paygrade who knows nothing of your skills hard work and contributions. Surely it will someone who arbitrarily throws you out and keeps a less productive person instead. Surely you will be back here in this site telling us how you feel about the company.
Myf, I guarantee you when I get the wisdom you speak of I will not sit on here and constantly complain. Will it s---? Sure. Will I be upset? Sure. Until then I will make hay while the sun shines with the understanding I am just as expendable as the folks laid off before me.
1hzb - sheez...chevron has treated 'you-folks' like a charity. Laid off folks have a lot of education with advance degrees from top universities, a lot of training and knowledge gained, all while making a lot of commitment, devotion, and sacrifices for their Chevron careers. I suspect you will gain some wisdom when you eventually experience Chevron 're-accommodation'. You're no exception.
One day you folks will realize, just like other corporations Chevron is not a charity nor a soup kitchen.
Only the obese, friends and family political, untouchables are left to be culled. The targeted demographics were yanked out figuratively like the United Airlines passenger. Financially and ethically, the Chevron employees were treated much worse.
I was re-accommodated in April 2016.
Or maybe HR will be hiring more security staff the next go around and the term "re-accommodate" will be handled the same way it was done on that United Airlines flight. Those who refuse to go after being told once, will be hauled off the premises forcibly.
Being a lay off board, I think OP is probably saying "re-accommodate" to mean being laid off. It wouldn't surprise me if HR starting to use this euphemism. Well heck they are already calling it a "PDC" and previously a "ROM".
I understand the CEO of United Airlines' definition of the word "Re-accommodated", but what's yours, OP?
Everyone I know in this pdc has been notified that they are being let go. Sounds more like a layoff under the guise of a normal pdc
