Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Your chance to get your voice hear in Annual Meeting

Did you receive the Proxy voting for the Annual Meeting? This is the chance to get your voice heard. We the laid off hold millions and millions of stock and has the power to make changes.

Below are the two that you can vote and make your vote count:

3 Advisory vote to approve Named Executive Officer compensation --> For/ Against / Abstain.

4 Advisory vote on the frequency of future advisory votes on named executive officer compensation --> 1 year / 2 year / 3 years / Abstain.

This is your time to voice what is at stake... Me being 22 years of working for Chevron and being laid off at age of 60 and not able to find a job in the last 2 years had voted.

No costume needed. Just dress up to look like JW. Mission accomplished.

A costume of an exec with his head up his butt would get attention!

Not entirely so, oxa. There has been several well organized activities groups of CVX stockholders that have influenced change in Chevron. Some stockholder proposals have even passed successfully. But what you are proposing will likely not pass because it goes too far to destabilizing the company. Why would a stockholder do that? Instead, a stockholder can more easily sell his stock and invest elsewhere. You are no longer a Chevron employee, just like me. We were laid off before we chose to retire. Do what I did, I sold 100% of my shares at a high point and placed my money in the market. No more CVX for me and I feel good about it.

Proxy voting is about as effective as voting in elections. The powers that be are going to get their way no matter what.
