Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Verizon's CEO just said he's open to merger talks with Comcast, Disney, or CBS

Getting desperate.

The Op had nothing to do with Unions so who is the real troll?

I vote the person who brought union bashing into it even though it had no relevance to the topic, i.e. poster MRA9Hlf-1ogm

I doubt you are in a union position like I am. Just a gut feeling, but in the lack of other information I go by my gut. In fact I believe you are one of the main anti-union people posting in numerous threads.

As a proud Union member, I will admit that during the strike the endless EWA wife jokes made here by some were not our finest moment, but the worst trolling here by far has been the anti-union trolling. There was even some talk of gunfire from the anti-union people.

Also you seem to need some spelling and grammar lessons yourself before you go around correcting other people's papers.

"I'll-informed and irrational hatred for Union memebers", jump to conclusions much? As a union member, if you wish to condone the trolling that is done on this site, which paints all of us union members in a negative way, then good on you. I personally get tired of seeing it.

As for management's bad decisions, where did I say anything supporting their past decisions? I simply pointed out that it is Lowell's job to look for other business opportunities. Whether or not those opportunities come to fruition and payoff, well hindsight is 20/20. One thing for sure is that stagnant Verizon is not good for any employee, Union or not.

@1cqd

Has your ill-informed and irrational hatred for Union workers completely blinded you to numerous bad decisions made by VZ top management?

Anyone that visits this board on a regular basis can tell that a lot of these type of posts, that mean nothing, are by the same person. I'm not the grammar police, but they cannot even spell McAdam correctly. Soon there will be a response written, in the same great grammar about how VZW employees should have joined the union.

As for your throwing up statement, you are kind of correct. I heard that the union and company came to an agreement, not a trouncing but more than I expected, and realized I wasn't going to get all the work don't that I had scheduled while on strike. It did make for a long summer, but it was better than being the road side attraction we had become to the general public.

Betcha Q2 results are REALLY bad. This is the shiny thing in the corner that's supposed to draw shareholders attention away from stellar mismanagement. My stop order is in, I'm done.

How this ceo got anywhere other than a cafeteria line baffles me.

This is news?

So to sum this up, if any good deals are offered our CEO is open to them?

OK........

Well you can see why this guy gets paid the big bucks right? He is a genius!

If any hot women want to sleep with him will he also consider that?

@MRA9Hlf-1ogm So what if it's a Union Employee? It's his or her's opinion. It's smarta$$ jerks like you that drive the wedge between co-workers and make Verizon a divided company. Just the way you like it.

I bet you were ready to throw up when you found out that the Union totally trounced the company in that strike and walked away unscathed with a 4 year guaranteed contract with raises. Good for them. It pointed out who really are the smart one's in this company.
