I trained a bunch of guys in India to do my job over WebEx last year, and think this will come back to bite me. Seems like I don't talk to any US employees anymore. I doubt Thomas Edison would be a fan of outsourcing of American jobs...

GE layoffs made no any headline while Boeing layoffs make headlines everywhere. Why? Because of union?
Ge did the layoff in a very quick way. After a month, everyone settles down, both of the ones still in the company and the ones being laid off like it never happen. That is life. Time makes everything forgettable. We as being impacted should just move on with life.
